The current energy crisis coupled with a global supply chain problem occurring at the moment, whereby most government aid to support companies during and after the Covid crisis is ending, is gradually but surely resulting in more distressing situations. In Belgium we see the number of insolvencies increasing rapidly as governments are struggling to find the right answers to support companies in these uncertain periods. We hope that the upcoming new insolvency laws will provide more tools to support companies in distress.
